SCE Energy Savings Assistance (free home upgrades)

Who qualifies
Homeowners or renters with an active SCE residential meter in a single-family home, mobile home, or building of 4 or fewer units, with income at or below $39,900 (1 person) / $54,100 (2) for June 2026-May 2027, or enrolled in programs like CalFresh, Medi-Cal or SSI.
How to apply
Log in or register for SCE My Account and use the 'Apply Now' link, or call the Energy Efficiency Department at 1-800-736-4777 (Mon-Fri 8 a.m.-6 p.m.).
What it is
Income-qualified SCE customers can get free energy-saving upgrades installed at no cost, such as refrigerator replacement, smart thermostats, AC units, heat pump water heaters and weatherization.

Appliance replacement

Cooling upgrades
