Who qualifies
Pregnant, breastfeeding a baby under one, had a baby in the last six months, had a pregnancy loss, or have a child under five. Gross income must be at or below the limit (for example $3,337/month for 2 people or $5,088/month for 4, valid May 2026 to June 2027). Families on Medi-Cal, CalFresh or CalWORKs may automatically qualify income-wise.
How to apply
Fill out the online application at phfewic.org; WIC staff will contact you. Or call 888-942-2229, or text 91997, to set up an appointment. Appointments can be by phone, video, online or in person.
What it is
WIC gives pregnant people, new moms and children under five money for healthy foods each month, plus nutrition and breastfeeding support. PHFE WIC runs offices throughout LA County, including South LA, Compton, Inglewood and the Harbor area.
