Who qualifies
Riverside or San Bernardino County residents. Age 3+: autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, epilepsy, or a closely related condition that began before 18 and causes significant limits in 3+ life areas. Under 3: a 25% delay, an established risk condition, or high biomedical risk.
How to apply
Age 3+: request an intake packet with the online questionnaire (English/Spanish) or call intake - Riverside County (951) 826-2648, San Bernardino County (909) 890-3148. Return forms with medical records, evaluations and IEPs. Under 3: use the online Early Start referral (recommended) or call Early Start intake - Riverside (909) 890-4763, San Bernardino (909) 890-4711. Do not call the front desk for intake.
What it is
IRC is the regional center for all of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. It evaluates children and adults for developmental disabilities including autism, runs Early Start for children under 3, and assigns a service coordinator to arrange free services for people who qualify.
