CalWORKs cash aid for families – LA County
Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS)
Who qualifies
California residents with an eligible child or who are pregnant, whose take-home pay is below the maximum aid for their family size, and who have cash and resources under $12,552 (or $18,829 if someone is disabled or 60+). Must be a U.S. citizen or immigrant with permission to live in the U.S., and generally take part in Welfare-to-Work activities.
