Youth@Work (LA County)

Who qualifies
LA County residents ages 14-24 at enrollment who have the legal right to work in the U.S. Priority goes to youth in high-need communities, current or former foster youth, justice-impacted youth, youth who have experienced homelessness, and LGBTQ+ youth.
How to apply
Fill out the Youth Interest Form at opportunity.lacounty.gov/youthatwork. AJCC staff will contact you within 48 hours. Questions: youthatwork@opportunity.lacounty.gov.
What it is
LA County's paid work experience program for young people. It runs through America's Job Centers of California (AJCCs) and employer partners in fields like healthcare, construction, tech and the creative sector. Youth take a World of Work class and complete about 140 hours of paid work. Afterward they are connected to more jobs, training, mentoring and support services.
