Who qualifies
Young people ages 14-24. The program is run through City of LA YouthSource Centers. Check the eligibility checklist on HireLAYouth.com for current residency and income rules.
How to apply
Apply online at hirelayouth.com. You can also apply through a City of LA YouthSource Center, your school, or the LA Community College District.
What it is
The City of LA's starter-job program for young people. Participants get workforce training, a paid job of at least 100 hours, financial literacy training, career coaching and mentoring. They can also earn a Work Readiness Certificate endorsed by the LA Area Chamber of Commerce.
