Senior Food Box (CSFP)
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
Who qualifies
Age 60 or older with household income at or below 130% of the federal poverty guidelines (the Food Bank lists about $1,580/month for one person or $2,137/month for two). Each eligible senior in a home gets their own box.
How to apply
Fill out the secure online eligibility screening on the Food Bank's CSFP page (English or Spanish). It asks for your name, phone, date of birth, identity verification and household income. Questions: email CSFP@lafoodbank.org or call (323) 234-3030.
What it is
A free box of about 30 pounds of shelf-stable groceries every month for low-income seniors. The box includes milk, meat, beans, grains and canned fruits and vegetables. You can pick it up at about 50 sites around LA County, or get free home delivery.

About the organisation
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank collects and distributes food across LA County through a network of partner pantries, meal programs and direct distributions. It has warehouses in South LA, City of Industry and Long Beach.
