Who qualifies
It varies by program. BankWork$, for example, requires being 18+, a high school diploma or GED, English fluency, a CA ID, work authorization, basic computer skills, 6+ months of customer service experience, passing math and reading tests, and passing a background check.

What it is
Free career training programs run with local employers. Options include BankWork$ (entry-level banking), HealthWorks (CNA), MediWork$ (non-clinical healthcare jobs), ImagingWorks (medical imaging support) and ApartmentWorks (apartment maintenance). Graduates who qualify are guaranteed interviews with employers. JVS also runs the West LA WorkSource Center and veteran career services.
