Photographs from Apartadó and Medellín
Photographs from the museum's trip to Colombia in September 2026, from rural Apartadó to the streets of Medellín.
In Apartadó the museum made cyanotypes with young people at Cultural Camaleón de Urabá, a local art nonprofit, with the help of photographer Kevin B. Jones. In Medellín it took part in a film festival.
Traveling gets us outside of what we know. Through photography, film and art we can keep the people, places and moments we meet, and build an archive to share for generations.
Photographs by Andesh and Marco. This is an online room; the pictures are not on the walls at 306 W Compton Blvd.
§ CURATOR’S NOTE
“An archive starts with somebody deciding a moment is worth keeping.”
