§ THE SHORT VERSION
At Home: Between Memory & Place is a group exhibition at the Compton Art & History Museum (306 W Compton Blvd #104), opening Saturday, October 17, 2026, 4 to 7 PM, with work by Madelyn Reasin-Bodden, Abby Aceves and Terrick Gutierrez. Admission is free.
At Home explores the diverse and deeply personal meanings of home: what it looks like, feels like, and means to each of us and our communities.
The Artists
New work by Madelyn Reasin-Bodden, Abby Aceves and Terrick Gutierrez, alongside photography from South LA artists.
Opening Day
Saturday, October 17, 4 to 7 PM. A cookout at home: art, a DJ, and free jerk chicken from Not 2 Cool for everyone who RSVPs.
Curated by Taylor Sanders and Lauren Temple. Supported by the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts.
§ CURATOR’S NOTE
“What reminds you of home? Every artist in this room answered that question, and none of them answered it the same way.”
