There is a picture of Sha'Carri Richardson that everybody knows. Orange hair flying, arm out, finger pointing at the finish line like she is telling it where to be. She has run past that line a hundred times. The point is not the line. The point is that she keeps coming back to it.

On July 24, 2026, at Icahn Stadium in New York, she came back again. She won the women's 100 meters at the U.S. Championships in 10.77 seconds, her third national title. And then she said the thing that matters more than the time.
